I've had a Versalab 11x14 print washer for years. Now, I can't seem to get the siphon started. Is there a trick?

I like the Versalab. No need to recommend buying a different brand (the one you own ...) Thanks.

I also have it and like it. When the water fills up to a certain level, it will start automatically. However, it's important for the hose to be well below the washer. Mine is 11 inches lower. Also, there are two holes with black plastic plugs, and they can be used to regulate flow. Hope this helps.

Agreed. worked this way for decades.

Okay, I have moved it to a different sink. Are you saying the the end of the siphon hose has to be lower than the bottom of the washer tank?

Yes, it does. The lower, the better (within reason).

Yep, nothing works better than water pressure and gravity.

I have an 11x14 Versalab. My siphon hose is at the same level as the bottom of the washer tank and I've never had a problem. It just lays on the sink that the tank sits on. Perhaps there are different versions; mine also only has one hole and one plug in the upper end of the siphon hose before it exits the tank. When the tank fills and water hits that hole, it should siphon. When you want to empty, you plug the hole while its siphoning and then shut the water off.
