Just picked up a MG 500H head. On the back of the controller is a recessed on/off switch designated VC on the body. Any ideas.

BTW I saw earlier threads discussing the 500 HUL. I'm pretty certain it's the U.S. 120V version which is UL approved.

Thanks Richard. It's next to the "bleep" switch, same type but recessed so you need long fingernails or a small screwdriver to operate it. I don't see it on the pdf on the Harman web site, but the wiring schematics on the service pdf seem to show this extra switch. Guess I'll play with it when I get the darkroom set up. Curiouser and curiouser..............

????All my 500C controller has on the back is sockets for the footswitch and probe and the program switch. The bleep switch is one of the touchpad controls on the top. (RHS above expose/cancel).

That sounds like the illustration on the Ilford pdf. When I get a chance I'll take a shot and post it.
Thanks for the feedback.
