I'm thinking of returning to making Platinum/Palladium prints (and, my gosh, the costs have soared!), and I'm looking for plans for a UV light source. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Cheers, James

The cheapest way to go ias you know is the sun. That's how I started. Not very convenient especially with our climate but it did work. From there I bought a light box from Bostick and Sullivan which is what I use. The design is rather simple if you are handy at wood working. I'm sure you can find plans online. Go to it ... IMOP there is nothing that beats a well done pt/pd print.

lots of other alternative processes like salt albumen and I'm doing my own POP emulsion onto watercolor or baryta paper
lots cheaper!!

I bought a used facial tanner on eBay for about $100. It uses florescent bulbs. It's much faster and more predicable than the sun. And it's lasted me for many years. I recommend looking for something like that.

Shipping to my locale would be extraordinary, but thanks. Having one built will cost less than $100. I can design something fundamental, but I'm hoping for some more advanced plans.
