Hi all,
first post here:
I'm trying to make an Epson 1430W a good negative printer for alt processes. Claria inks are not great UV blockers.
What if I refill my ( refillable ) cartridges with Epson K3 Ultrachrome inks? Options? Cone inks, for example, don't stick to Pictorico OHP film well...

The Jon Cone Selenium inkset does stick to Pictorico, and is what makes up his digital negative inkset—still the surface is more fragile than with the Epson UC inks i.

I don't know if he has digital negative profiles for that model printer, but you could try to make your own with QTR. It wont be the same shape linearized curve as the cone profiles, but they could work. I wouldn't think that the Epson UC K3 inks would continue to work with the Epson driver, but they should work through QTR after being calibrated/linearized.
