I was wondering if anyone has or does use different brands of RA4 chemicals. I have a dry to dry processor and wanted to use kodak ektacolor chemicals. I was able to find developer and replenisher locally but cannot get blix. I dont want to pay to get it shipped as the price is high for shipping.

Has anyone used kodak and another brand of blix at the same time before? I was looking at Arista at the local store and have never used it. Any advice here is welcome!
thanks

I don’t know about mixing the Kodak and Arista, but I would think it should work- try it and see! I would also like to use the Ektacolor, but the shipping costs are simply too high. I use the Silver Pixel chemistry from Freestyle in my roller transport machine. Very economical and works perfectly. Like you I can pick it up in-store, so no shipping costs.

Using developer from one maufacturer and Blix from another shouldn't be a problem.
Obviously don't mix developer components from different manufacturers (eg developer concentrate and starter) from different manufacturers. Same for mixing two-part blixes with parts from different manufacturers, although you'll likely get away with it unharmed.
