Oh No !! The Planar versus Zenotar rabt!!

Planar Schmanar/ Xenotar Heck Far---------if you stumble across a certain lens test that both the Planar 3,5 and Xenotar 2,8 as well as two other Specific non Rollei cameras and lenses you'll find that the xenotar falls quite short of the resolution of the Planar 3,5 ----I had heard the Xenotar was quite up to snuff and even have a Planar 2,8, a Planar 3,5, and the Xenotar 2,8---my first choice is the Planar 3,5---- I am a bit of a Rollei holic as I have five Tele Models as well! Some day I'll find that clean RolleiWide but most of those on the usual auction stop are rode hard and put up wet-----I have a Tessar too---stopped down to f/11 it is a terrific lens but wide open it lacks that Planar/Xenotar sharpness. The sharpest MF NORMAL lens I own is my 80 mm for my Mamiya 7II-------my my my it's sharp!! Hassy---nah, I'd take the RolleiFlex next !!
