Hi! I have a Beseler MX45 enlarger with Ilford 500H head and want to use a Durst M670 as a secondary enlarger, mostly for colour work. I would prefer to be able to use the same 4x4 Beseler lens boards for both enlargers. Is it possible to adapt the Durst head to accept the Beseler lens boards? I am looking at a Durst M601 and it looks like it would be easy to just grind some small metal parts with a dremel to make the surface flat ans accept the 4x4 lens board but I can see this might change the lens to negative distance a little bit...

Even if it changes the film to lens distance, that's what the focusing knob is for.

Everything is possible, I think, but those lensboards differ quite a lot from each other and what’s wrong with unscrewing the lens from one board and screwing it in another board. Beside that quality earging lenses are. Heap, so why not buy an extra lens.

It might be better to fabricate an adapter to permit mounting a Durst m670 board on to the Beseler board.

You can always do what do, I have dedicated lenses and mounting boards for each of my enlargers, Sure, it costs a bit more, but no hassles switching lenses.
