Users familiar with those huge Paterson multi-reel tanks. Do you recommend them?

If all the film was in the tank and it was only a second or two of light, the bottom 3 rolls were probably still good, and the 4th roll near the top was probably salvageable

As I recall, I was only 18 years old, and I did develop to see if anything was salvagable, they were not. It was a good thing my brother could run faster or I would still be in Jail.

In the U.S Air Force tech school were advised to use a chemistry with a longish development time say D76 1:2 as opposed to Dk 50 stock when using large SS tanks. The largest I recall would take 6 120 reels. The idea was that shorter development times could result in uneven development. It was advise not a tech order so subject to the whim of the NCOIC or civilian Super.
