Thanks for sharing Mohmad. By any chance have you used Quinone bleach in reversal processing of B&W film? Any experiences and insights you can share on this?
Actually I've never used it with black and white operations before and I don't think it will work.
I used the mighty copper bleach with black and white and its results were very impressive,
This is the official version
AGFA Copper bleach
Deionized water 700ml 52C
Pot. Alum ........................ 20g
Sid. sulfate ....................... 25g sulfate not sulfite
Copper sulfate .................. 40g
pot. bromide ..................... 20g
sulfuric Acid (Conc) ............ 5 ml
water Up to ...................... 1 L
_____________
If you are required (according to your formula in black and white) not to use (pot. Bromide) - as some formulas state that ,,, you can use the following formula.
Deionized water 700ml 70 C
Copper sulfate .............................. 316 g
Sodium chloride (without iodine) ..... 316 g
sulfuric Acid (Conc) ...................... 2 ml
water Up to .................................. 1 L
This liter can live with you until the Day of Resurrection ,,
It is filtered (using a cotton swab) after treating 10 rolls and it returns again as it was, but the quantity decreases slightly, do not add water after filtering it, and do not worry about any deposits, in any case it will work well,
A very important note ,,
If you want the best results for this whitening solution,
I advise you to use anhydrous copper sulfate (white), of course, it will be a little more expensive, but it is better and gives great results ,, if you use it with the process ( E6 ) or (C41) you will not need to use a stop solution before or after bleaching, but with aqueous copper sulfate (blue) You will definitely need a stop solution before and after bleaching to get rid of the traces of copper (but with black and white processes) there is no problem.

I've used Copper Chloride bleach quite a bit for reversal of b&w film, but thanks anyway for your formula.

Coming back to quinone bleach, curious to know why do you think it'll not work on B&W film? Is it a very mild bleach?

Coming back to quinone bleach, curious to know why do you think it'll not work on B&W film? Is it a very mild bleach?
- Engineer Rudi Austrian told me before that the process of reversal for black and white does not fit with a bleaching solution that is among the components of the bromide at all, because the bromide will destroy all remaining residual image.
- In fact, it is the bleaching solution, the quinone is the slave, and, according to my belief, dealing with (black and white) may need violent and strong bleaching,
Most formulas for that process use permanganate, or dichromate, and a few use copper sulfate ,, I've never heard that someone has done this experiment before regarding bleaching quinone,
- If you did this experiment and succeeded, then it will be possible later to use an EDTA based bleach solution, and sisters why not?
