Hi everyone,
I thought it was about time to go through the Hotel Booking thread and see who was actually planning to come to Cornwall on the 24/26/27 of April, 2009. So here is the list as I see it. If I have missed anyone out (booked into the Queens or not) please let me know and Ill add you to the list. To date the list stands at:
Barry Wilkinson - staying at the Queens
Brian Jeffery - staying at the Queens
Stoo Batchelor - staying at the Queens
Delphine - staying at the Queens
Tony + Jean - staying at the Queens
(Brook Hill)
Mark Burley + Norma - staying at the Queens
Richard Kent - staying in St Ives but will be joining in.
Neil Souch + Jean - local will be joining in on all days
Bill Spears - local will be joining in
I have already suggested some locations to visit and others have also mentioned various places we can all go to. I shall be staying at home (which is only a few miles away) but I will join in all on all the days and assist as may be needed but please remember this is your weekend and everyone is free to do their own thing and to join in as much or as little as they wish
Getting back to the locations. I think it is best to keep this open-ended until the time as a lot of this has to be decided with the weather. I have the tide times here and will make everyone aware of them nearer the time. The best time to go to beaches in my opinion (and the safest) is when the tide is going out so that you have clean sand and wet rocks. In such conditions a lot of good photography can be done as you simply follow the tide out and start thinking about packing in when it turns. I will make you aware of any dangerous areas on beaches that I take you to.
Also dont forget to bring some work along for an informal mutual sharing of images one evening (usually done in the bar!). Jean and myself, although not staying at the Queens, will be joining you for dinner so we should be with the group for most of the time. Also if anyone is coming down early or staying on a few days and would like a bit of company let me know and I would be happy to meet up somewhere.
All the best and we look forward to seeing you in West Cornwall!
Neil.
