I was recently fortunate to receive a few boxes of old Ilford paper, assuming that it is Ilford since it is in Ilford boxes. One of the boxes has a mix a three papers in different plastic sleeves. Two of them are black and white paper that process normal the third is a bit a mystery to me in that it is a glossy paper that appears black. I haven''t tried to process it yet, so I'm not sure if its just heavily faded or it is paper for a process that i am not familiar with. Any ideas?

Could it be Ilfo/Cibachrome? I have never worked with Ciba as the price and toxicity are too high, so I cannot be for certain, but I seem to remember seeing somewhere that it looks a bit like you describe. Still, I have no idea, and it may be much more likely that it is just really knackered B&W paper.

IIRC Ciba is a sheet material thats more plastic than paper, but its black when unprocessed

Try putting it in c41 bleach. If it turns white then that was silver, if it's still black it's dye, and that paper is very valuable.
