Ah, the hubris is back! We missed you when you vanished after being challenged in that other thread.
Unlike you I have a live outside of APUG. And your bullying behavior helped shut down a good thread. You must be proud to yourself in the pigpen.
I somehow missed that this was in the medium format forum.
I think many of the off-brand TLR's are rarely discussed. But they are very good picture-takers!
beauty-flex, aires-flex, flexaret.
I find that on at least big mainstream listings and certainly eBay and camera specific listings, anything TLR has quickly crawled up in price to where they are not underrated anymore.I somehow missed that this was in the medium format forum.

Flexaret, Diacord and Autocords are always sold at about the same or higher prices than a Rolleicord or Automat.
The original Ricohflex you won’t have people touch with a fire poker, because of such unforgivable sins as front cell focusing, triplets lenses and single leaf shutter.
Truth is, they are tremendous cameras, better than the simple folders they are usually compared to on several counts. Light as a feather and always ready for action.
Yashica Ds, 635s or MATs are usually >200€.
The Yashica TLRs are popular but so often plagued by sticky shutter, they're a complete risk to buy. I'd say most listed for sale have been "fixed" with lighter fluid.
Admittedly, the Yashinon lens is very good.
I literally laughed out loud at you on this one (once I sleuthed out the typos). You have posted here nearly THIRTY-FIVE THOUSAND times since joining. That's what, about seven posts per day, every single day of your life since 2007! Holy shit!
And you know nothing about my life. But that's you in a nutshell: frequently wrong, but never, ever in doubt!
P.S. You mention "bullying." Perhaps you never should have started in on me in the first place in that silly Ansel Adams thread. I never had anything to do with you until you started in with me, completely unprovoked. Perhaps that wasn't a wise move on your part if you want to make bullying accusations now, you miserable hypocrite.
Well it looks like all the work your elementary school teachers did has paid off. You seem to have conquered basic arithmetic. Now see if you can learn to accept that people with post urls on photographers that you do not like and if you do not like the photographer, see if you can manage to restrain yourself from attacking the poster.
The only outcome will be @Sirius Glass responds. Then you respond. Then he responds. At this point, maybe it should be a private conversation.
+.... but this is getting real childish real fast.
you yourself were one of those he accused of attacking him last week
I also had a great experience with Mr. Hama and my YashicaMat LM. The lens on that camera is fantastic imho. I don't care much for the underrated/overrated/justright debates but this is a fine and inexpensive camera if you like the TLR way of doing things. Flock the insides, put a lens hood on the outside, and head out. That's why I wound up buying a cheap, non-working Yashica 12, and promptly sent it off to Mark Hama. I now have an actual [Exc++++] working version.

I thought that in Japanese-Seller-ese, [EXC++++] was a beat up piece of shite that barely worked? You need to get to [NearMint+++] before its usable.
(I actually buy a lot from Japanese sellers on eBay, but I use my eyes, rather then their rating, since the rating has no relation to the english language.)
I was out shooting with mine just this morning and it's a favorite. My dad bought two of them in '84, one for me - I was headed to design school and a manual camera was required - and one for him. They're as basic as can be, and fun too.The Pentax K1000, was the first SLR I used back in high school about '79. About a decade later, I wanted to really try my hand at photography, so I picked up a K1000 at a local pawn shop. I've got about 40 of them that my students use. Have any of you learnt photography with this camera?
I highly recommend utilizing the ignore feature to those who just aren't getting along. Putting them on ignore means you can no longer see their posts, therefor any insults or nitpicking is essentially them just yelling into the wind.
Ignoring can let his position stand unchallenged.
"Ignore" is good to use for someone who states opinions that you can't agree with, who seems to be of a different ideology than what you can accept, and who is also not directly assaulting you. Ignore people who aren't actually talking to you, if they are saying things you find idiotic. But if someone is openly quoting what you say and calling you obtuse, ignoring is not something you naturally want to do. The instinct is to strike back, but it's a good idea to let anger wane and then respond. The offender is not the only audience in an open forum. Ignoring can let his position stand unchallenged.
However, when it ceases to be an argument about something and turns into a tennis match of insults, that's when the conversation should go somewhere else.
