Thanks Neil for doing this again this year. One bit of feedback, The 9cm x 50ft roll on sheet film stock prevents any use as a reload for out of date roll film formats. It is also too thick to be slit down easily. I'd buy several rolls if this was on roll film stock instead.

Thanks for the feedback Greg, I'm not sure of the requirement for the original item. I seem to remember this being raised before though. Perhaps we have two separate requirements here. Roll and sheet film stock ?

Thanks Neil, Not sure what you mean? Are you saying one can specify roll film stock when ordering it?

Just so users of "miniature" cameras don't feel left out, I see the program includes 2.25 x 3.25 and 3.25 x 4.25 sheets of FP4 and HP5.

Hi Greg, What I was meaning was that I was unsure as to the original requirement for this size and base type, presumably this was due to specific requirement(s) in previous years. I will feed this back to the people who organise the ULF campaign.

I got the HP5+ in 127 format last year so I was hoping for something else in that format this year like maybe Delta 100. I'm still working through my HP5+ so I won't need more of it for a while.

@Harman Tech Service // is it true that ortho+ will only be made every other year?

It's being made whenever stock drops below a certain level & relative to its keeping properties and projected demand, that might be every 2 years. I think Galerie might be on an annual or 18 month schedule & I'm fine with that if that's what it takes to ensure the future of those specialist products.

I would have ordered this this year had it been on roll film base. In a previous year I ordered it not realizing it was on sheet film base.

Also, is there a reason why none of these offerings are PanF 50? I find that with many of the items I've personally ordered in the past from this ULF program are HP5+, which is faster film than I prefer using in these old cameras. For instance, the 70mm unperfed 50' rolls, I'd much prefer to buy in FP4, or even preferably PanF. As well as the 8" Cirkut 100' roll. This is available only in HP5, and I'd really prefer it with something slower. Is it possible to request items to appear in following year? I know I did that once before, but is it possible now? I have a few items I'd love to see, and buy.

I want to echo what hired goon above said - HP5 is an excellent film, but exposure setting ability on many older cameras that use this specialty size film are more conducive to a slower film like FP4 or even Delta 100. Is it possible that future ULF runs could alternate wherein sizes offered on only one film stock each year rotate between FP4 and HP5?

That said, I did order a roll of 46mm film from Freestyle to stock my 127 cameras. When and how would I expect word to arrive that the order thresholds for this group were met and my order was included?

My experience with ULF order thresholds is that if quantity is not reached, you will be notified by your dealer very shortly after the deadline. Whereby they will most likely ask you if you'd like to increase your order in an effort to hit the threshold. When this happened to me, the dealer knew exactly how many additional rolls were needed.

It's a great ULF program in many ways, but terribly kludgy ordering system. If they could tie it into their website somehow, so we knew how many orders for a certain film were needed to hit the threshold, I may actually get film I've been trying to for 4 years.
