I tested two new inkjet transparency films last night. "Ulano" Inkjet film for dye inks and one from a company called US Screen (I think, I'm checking on the actual manufacturer). The Ulano is identified by a rounded cove cut on the corner while the US Screen had a "scuffed" corner to indicate the upper right. Both stick to the finger when touched on the printable side. These films are clearer than Pictorico, lighter and print just slightly less density. The base looks like it measures just slightly less than a third of a stop in UV density (.06-.08 I'm guessing). I let them dry overnight because there was a definite humectant haze after printing (I probably don't see it as much on Pictorico because it's hidden by the frosted surface). Looking at the printout under a loupe it seemed as good or very near to what I see on Pictorico. A local screen printing shop donated them to me. Ulano sends free samples.

Interesting. How is the print quality as far as edge detail or grain?

Hi Michael,

Can you please share your experience with Ulano film?

Thanks in advance,
Loris.
