I was asked last year to put together an Event in the West Midlands, it's a cross Forum event but has it's roots in UK APUG weekends (also FADU).. So here it is:

Spring weekend, 21st -22nd April with the option of Friday the 20th as well for those that want to make a longer weekend of it.

Location Kidderminster with a day's Photography on the Severn Valley Railway and a day in the Black Country - there's some interesting and quite varied locations. Accommodation will be at the nearby Premier Inn (quite new in a listed converted carpet factory) or a Travel Lodge.

Both the SVR day and the next in the Black Country will offer a very wide variety of subjects, the Friday for the keen can be equally as varied.

The invite's there to join us Eric (and any other non UK based APUGers) . There's contingency plans if it rains all day :D There's a lot that can be shot inside on the SVR, and it's usually just odd rain showers in April but in recent years has almost been our Summer !

I'm booked in for the weekend.

Everyone is welcome - what ever your camera, format or skill level.

The Severn Valley Railway is a great photographic subject.

62mm of rain on average in April plus 10.5 days on average raining, you guys must have webbed feet!

Eric - there is a reason England is called a green and pleasant land - it does rain a quite a lot.

However, when the sun does shine it really is quite lovely.
