I think participation would be by opting in at the start of each period, rather than the other way around. I suggested a monthly cycle since I felt that would be more likely to keep the impetus going. I guess most of us will want to show-off our latest masterpiece, but since the chances are that we will only be exchanging with the same person at yearly or longer intervals, this suggests that you could send out the same picture several times if strapped for a satisfactory shot. One thing that this must not become is a pressure event.

I'd prefer the exchange to be just the UK as it does get quite expensive sending photos across the world. But you can reduce the costs if you send them unmounted and use the printed papers rate which is nearly half the price of normal airmail.

Its looking good; 16 names on the active list so far, so lets make a start.

Would those of you that have expressed an interest so far please send me a PM with your full postal address. I shall then issue each of you someone else's address at the end of this month – May, for the first round. You will need to post your print to that person before the 24th June when I will draw up a list for round 2.

As a reminder you are to send out one unmounted print made on 10x8 paper of your choice to the person whose address I give to you. You will receive a print from someone else in the group in exchange.

Your details have been passed to another in the group who should send you a print.

Rules.
1. Your photograph must have originated from a film exposed in a proper camera. 2. Your print should be on 10x8 paper. 3. Paper type and finish is your choice, as is the subject. 4. The image may be any size or format. 5. Toning or other treatment is optional. 6. Inkjet prints or computer manipulated images are ineligible. 7. The addition of explanatory notes is optional, but your recipient may appreciate some background information, and if you do not say who it is from, they cannot thank you for it. 8. Enjoy the experience.

Please dispatch your print before the 24th of June, if you cannot please let me know.
