Print received from Mikeg

I received a fantastic print from Mikeg today. Great work, Mike, you made maximum use of the short period of snow in February. The print is very Michael Kenna and one to be proud of.

I've been in The Alps for the last couple of weeks and have just developed several rolls of film so I hope to be in a position to create a print by Friday.

Hi

My print has gone off this morning. Postal strike permitting the recipient should receive it on Friday or Saturday, or at the very latest by the Monday deadline.

Managed to get mine off to Jon today so hopefully it will arrive tomorrow. It's been a bit rushed since returning from holiday so it's not perfect and I might do a follow-up after the deadline!

Hi,

it's becoming increasingly clear that I'm not going to be able to make a print for this round. Does anyone object if I forward the print I received to my intended recipient as a solution?

I'm going to have to step down from organizing the next round because of other commitments at this time. If someone will step in for round 8 I would be grateful.

I'll carry out a round up at the closing date to see who, if anyone failed to get a print out.

Regards

Martin

Thanks Brian,

I hoping to be able to pick up the reigns again for round 9, unless you or someone else wishes to carry it on.

As there hasn't been an outcry I'll forward the print I received on tomorrow.

My appologies, but it's the best solution I can offer at present. Too many things out of my control.

Hello all,

Received a very nice print from Steve Smith the other day. Sorry for the late repy but I've been away and it was waiting for me on my return.

My print is in the post and should be with the recipient within the next day or so; the postal service in Cornwall gets there 'Dreckly' : similar to 'manjana' but without the urgency.

Regards Daniel

Pleased to hear it arrived o.k.

I also received my print today from Graham (GFDarlington). A nice view of the River Levin at Park Head, Cumbria. It looks like somewhere I would like to visit one day.

Thanks,

Steve

Hi,
Received a print from Barry/Bwakel
Barry,
Thanks for the extra time you spent making it on FB paper and toning it.
I also like and use Adox WT paper toned in similar way.

Cheers JON.

Received a print from Geoff Hill last week, of a dense woodland glade with a narrow timber foot bridge crossing a fast flowing beck. Intersting angle of view and clever use of many short exposures to capture the feel of the water flowing under the bridge.

He explained in advance that the postal strikes might delay things and I've been away most of the week, so no complaints.

Received a print from Brian Jeffery while I was away on holiday. Many thanks Brian -- along with your recent postcard, it means I've got a really nice pair of your prints from Warsaw.

I've never thought about using my Mamiya TLR for candid street photography, I'll have to give it a go. I presume you found a seat to sit on, placed the camera on your lap and waited?

Cheers

Mike

Funny, one of the reasons I bought a C330 was for its suitability to candid photography. Well, to my mind anyway. I wander around with the C330 around my neck looking for photo opportunities. People are less self conscious with the Mamiya, largely do to the fact that I'm using the waist level finder and don't have to hold the camera up to my eye. That, and that 90% of people don't actually recognise it as a camera. My friend always complains that people just don't notice me with a dirty great big brick around my neck, but as soon as he lifts his AE-1 P to his eye the hold world notices.

I've not actually had the camera for a long time, Feb this year, and I'm only really starting to get used to it. However, I'm now pretty proficient at changing lenses or film whilst walking along.

By the way, whilst the 8x10 print was taken in Warsaw, the postcard was actually taken in Krakow.

I've done loads of candids of my family on the C330-as you say it's v handy because you don't have to lift it up to your eye.

Second time lucky

Received "It's all Greek to me" from Jon@jb-ci today. It's a wonderful print that shows just what's possible if you spend that little bit more time in the darkroom. This was Jon's second attempt at sending a print as the first got lost in the post.

Thanks for persevering,

Brian,
I am relieved to know that you received my print this time.
I wonder where the first one ended up.
Cheers JON
