I was happy enough to find a large quantity of Tura Report Rapid (not Record Rapid) Paper. Does anyone know more about this paper? Is it just new labeled or produced by Tura itself?

Thanks in advance

Is it actually new paper or old stock? Tura used to manufacture their own films & papers, and in the mid-1970's I used some of their RC paper (it was in green boxes). Much later they were reselling relabeled films & papers (the films were from Agfa) and possibly the papers were too. They also did film slitting and packaging for other companies using 3rd party materials. But a few years ago they went out of business. Today the brand name Tura is owned exclusively by a company called Photo Star GmbH, which uses it for photographic materials made by others. They don't list a Report Rapid paper. See:-

where there is a link to a PDF file of what B & W papers they do sell. My guess, and that's all it is, is that the Report Rapid paper is fairly old stock. It may be OK. I was happily using the Tura RC well over a decade after I bought it!

Thank you. Someone other had the idea that it could be AGFA Brovira speed.
Up to now I noticed that the fog is a bit higher compared to the Leonar paper I found in the same cellarroom and which might be much older.

BTW....the Leonar paper is really wonderful. One result of a first test of this paper can be found here:

I was given a couple of boxes of Tura paper perhaps two years ago.Informed at the time that it was about ten years old, it is also in green boxes with a very heavy black wrapping material. The paper is textured and has absolutely no fog.
regards

Thanks again for your comments and the welcome. I think I will introduce myself as soon as I have found the right place for this...
