Hi all

I am returning to the land of alternative process. I have been out of it for a while since I moved to where I had lots of space… but no water - Central California.
I move again and now have adequate space and water. Trying to start up my nuarc that was in storage for a couple of years.

So here goes….

1. Dismantled and cleaned the fan - runs like a champ

2. Draws a decent vacuum

3. Enter in a value for exposure - hit S - loud click - no arc, no light. Wait a few minutes - nothing - hit C - soft click.

4. Replaced both fuses - no change

5. Replaced lamp with MH1000 - no change

So everything appears to work, except for the fact it does make any light - crap

Any ideas on what to try next?

Thank you
Sean

Call NuArc service. I'm on the road and don't have number with me, however they did have a very helpful service person when I was getting mine sorted out. Bill

Instant-start metal-halide lamps need high voltage power source. Yours probably is fried.

Thanks Bill. I did call and they were awesome. Got out my multimeter and he walked me through the whole system.

Found the problem (loose wires and bad bulb) - all working now.

Thanks for the tip
Sean
