Visiting my local car accessory shop the other day I saw a refrigerated coolbox for sale, it runs off a 12 volt car supply. Quite expensive, but useful looking, so the deal was done, and I now have an 18 litre refrigerated coolbox. The wife thinks its for picnic provisions, you know watercress sandwiches and mint-tea, that sort of thing.
I reckon that it will hold about 300 rolls of 120 film and a six pack! Troubled times ahead?

Funny I built a 12v outlet last week just so I could use 12v items away from the car.

1) Lighter socket
2) Fuse and holder
3) 12V battery
4) Some wire.

This brought a smile to my face. I would suggest 150 roles of film and a bottle of wine for you and her to drink while you take pictures of the country side.

What a good idea, but how would I get the horizon straight after half a bottle of wine.

Shoot first then drink the wine...and since you would be shooting landscape you might want to bring along a steady tripod. Could be an incredibly impressionistic work.

Maybe a second one for her.....great for exposed film.

Maybe a third one for her......great for loaded backs.

Maybe a fourth......

Don't forget to take a few rolls out so they can come to room temp before you need them, and don't forget to get a converter or buy ice so the cooler doesn't drain your battery down over night.

I just purchased one from Home Depot here in the states, that if you cool it down for about two hours before you load it, the temps will stay between 35-40 below actual outside temps, I went to Glacier national park the other day and it was only about 30 degrees, and ended up with some really ice cold beer..and it was real inexpensive, only $19.98 and will hold 9 cans of pop or other beverages as required, and if your not taking beverages, it holds a heck of alot of film as well, was able to get 60 rolls of 35 in it on our trip last week..

If I'm not mistaken ( and usually I am) there is a traditional song in the Hawaiian Islands addressing that very thing....

I think it goes:

"Swirly Bokeh....In the wine...

makes me feel happy...makes me feel fine..."

Teague might know all the words...

Photographing in the hot SW US, I use just such a device. This refrigerator plugs into outlets that are located in the back part of my 4-wheel drive vehicle.
