The time has finally arrived, as tomorrow I get a 10 day trip whose sole purpose is photography. ( My wife has decided she prefers not to be my photo Sherpa) I have settled on two days in Joshua Tree, followed by 3 days in Lone Pine, 3 days in Furnace Creek, 1 day in Pahrump and 1 night back in Vegas. My one remaining question concerns getting from Vegas to Joshua Tree. Google back road route recommends route 127 (266 miles) as opposed to the direct route through the middle of the Mohave (Cima 193 miles) . Is the back road way a better way to go from a photo perspective?
Several of you have helped me prepare for this trip over the last several months for which I am appreciate. Any other suggestions on the route I have outlined would certainly be welcome.
