Tri-X Super 8

I dev'd this in APH09. I accidentally rated this test strip at 100ASA, so I guessed an 8 min dev time at dilution 1:50. Agfa style agitation.

Obviously, the super-looking grain is a result of the overexposure and the WW1-era dev I chose.

Scanned inside an old dSLR. Inverted, levelled, and then lightly sharpened with a touch of high-pass.

Here's Tri-X process in D19. This one is 4.5m. The 9m version was very over-developed and I worked down to 4.25 by my last test. I also want to go a bit further, as the negative still looks very clogged, and the processed version looks flat, in the upper range. So, maybe 3 - 3.5m. next time. I'm not sure where Photographer's Formulary get their 9m starting time from. I wonder if that figure is aimed at reversal processing?
