I just ran some Tri-X through TMax dev (exposed @ EI 3200), and I must say that the images are pretty good. The shadow detail is a tad lower than with D-76, though the grain is lower, and base fog is _nonexistant_. The results are, hands-down, much better than those from Delta 3200.
The contrast is very high, but certainly useful.
They are truly the best high-speed negs. that I have ever seenn and its quite encouraging. If I could just give the shadows a little boost, there would be no reson not to use this for general work.
They're still wet, so no scans yet ...
The real test is going to be the grain in the prints, which I'll probably make early next week (contact sheet tomorrow afternoon). We'll see.
I'll post scans when the contact print is ready.
