My vacation this year will be in the US,and while I`m over I`ll spend a weekend with Michael and Paula doing their workshop. So naturally I need to bring the 8x10(Eastman 2D) Is there a backpack that can take the camera and still be small enough to bring it into the plane? How risky is it checking it in? Any input is welcome.

I have travelled with a Wisner 8x10 Expedition, 5 holders, 2 lenses and various accessories in an f64 backpack (the large one). Fits nicely in the overhead compartment.

Francesco,

Welcome back. Dont make yourself a stranger.

Francesco,

Where are you putting 5 holders in the f64 bag? I can only get 3 in the front pouch. Do you still have room in the main compartment for a couple more?

Thanks Lee.

Correct Matt. Two more can fit with the camera in the main compartment.

Yes F64 is the one to buy. I got mine cheap on ebay but expect to pay a lot of money for it. In the long term it will be cheap.
Don't check your camera in unless it is very very very well packed.
Last summer I took a workshop with Michael and Paula in Iceland. I hand carried my f64 and all of my film. I saw no signs of fog.

Thanks, B&H will send a f64 my way monday..
