The battery thing: what we hear about in the news is passenger airliner catastrophes. But there have already been cargo jets downed by shipments of
ordinary lithium flashlight batteries, which caught fire. I also happen to know, due to the nature of my work, that lithium batteries cannot be used for
any kind of portable tool used in combat or aerospace. For these, they still generally use very high quality Nickel Hydride batteries instead. If you're
up on the International Space Station and something goes wrong, you can't just call AAA !
