Kodak Wratten No. 96 Density 1.0, 75mm square. Density 1.0 transmits 10% of the light.

It is used. It has been handled by the edges and was mounted in a metal filter frame (not included). The frames a are 3-inch square with a 2.5-inch hole. The center 2.5-inch diameter of the filter is like new.

I have included several photographs that show the condition.
Photograph 095 shows the filter. The light area below the center is a reflection of my camera.
Photograph 088 shows a filter front surface reflection of a light bulb.

Density of 1.0 means that 10% of the light is transmitted allowing longer exposure times. Divide the ISO by 10 so Tri-X becomes 40 and Ektar 100 becomes10.

This is useful in making photographs of waterfalls look like "flowing milk".

Also, when photographing cityscapes without recording the people that are walkingthrough a scene. . Wi

The Density of 1.0 3 1/3 stops. In Log units a stop is about .3 so 10/.3 is 3.33 stops.
