Shot in the dark here but I need to step up my Canon EOS wideangle game

My lens: Not in bad shape, few nicks on the coating, a well-used lens. Was serviced by Canon about a year ago, new stabilizer has been put in, new seals, full CLA, works like new. Optics are flawless.
