Was this a good camera, durable? Toyo called it Bi-axial. It has axis and base tilts, however the base tilts appear to be above the swing. Does that mean that the camera isn't yaw free?
Who can fix this camera if something goes bad [e.g. a gear,] Toyo / MAC service actually doesn't really remember the camera, though they say some parts may be available from Japan.

The ROBOS was a good camera but few were made and parts are hard to find but if it is in good shape it will last for years. Any good camera shop could fix it if they can find the parts. The ROBOS was replaced with the 45GX, in my opinion a much better camera. I have seen them both selling for about the same price. I would opt for a 45GX unless you find a ROBOS for a great price. If you don't need base tilt look for a 45GII.

Thanks, but there are a couple of features on the Robos that I like that the Gs don't have. However, I can't tell if the Robos is yaw free, a feature I like. The base tilt seems to be above the swivel point, I've read that indicates a potential for yaw.

You might call Jim at Midwest. He had one for years priced a bit above 2 grand which is why he had one for years. He might know if it's yaw free. Finally sold IIRC.
