Below I posted in error on MF forum.
-----------------------------------------------------
Just trying to scoop up a few more 4x5 holders and Toyo is all I have and all I want. I only bought thus far the latest / last version with blue lettering. As I see some older all black holders available (still with plastic pull tabs), has anyone had issues with durability of them after long extensive use (light leaks etc.) ? Looking at offered, I noticed some wear on black hinge tape at bottom and wondered whether this should be a concern.

I sell new and used Toyo film holders, and post in the FS forum fairly often.

A few of the Toyo blue lettering holders have problems with the dark slides, which were not perfectly light-tight. I test such holders before selling them. The very latest holders have aluminum dark slides.

Toyo holders are extremely well-made and even the oldest holders I have (with metal slides and handles) are in proper working condition, with smooth movement of the slides. I'm not sure what Toyo does, but they never seem to bind. Occasionally, the bottom tape can show wear, and it can be replaced easily with bookbinder's tape.

Great feedback, thanks. I've seen you in FS section, but always after the event . On a lookout.
