Sounds like fun. Should the prints be mounted? Also, what size should they be?
Thanks,
Don

This round is closed. There will be another before too long, though.

Dave,

I received yours today. It's excellent! Great stuff.

I will either print mine this week and send out or it'll be sometime around the 25th (I'm away in between).

Quite jealous of the Holga 'look' on your print.

I think I'll end up using a Box Tengor neg. for the print as most of my Lubitel shots just end up looking like any other camera -- I did think of deliberately playing with the Toy Camera idea and using a Lubitel to produce as high a quality image as possible but rejected that idea as not being in the spirit of a Toy Camera print.

OK I sent my prints out this afternoon. Hope you guys like them. I realized as I write this that I didn't include any info, so here it is:

Toy Camera: Lomo Fisheye Camera - http://www.lomography.com/
Film: Kodak Gold 400
Paper: Kodak Royal (?)
Mounted on 4 ply and matted with 8 ply, both acid free museum board
Location: Bradley Airport, CT as I was boarding the plane on the tarmac

This is a cool little camera. I took a whole series of pics as I went from Bradley to St Louis one day for a business trip.

Regards, Art.

Bastiaan - I got your print today. It is superb! Very good choice for the Holga look

I was really impressed with your printing. This is the first FB print I've handled (that was made by someone else!) and I liked the subtleness of the tones. Beautifully done.

Can you tell me how you got the print so flat? There's not a curl or a bump on it! I've never managed that degree of flatness with FB - what is your secret?

Bastiaan,

I also received yours. Very nice. The perspective is great.

Mine will go out tomorrow, I hope. I printed them a few weeks back but haven't gotten round to posting.

Mine hit the mail today.

Dave, your print was breathtaking. You are definitely getting the fuzzy end of this lolipop.

Mine all went out yesterday. Sorry for the delay.

Decided to send two -- one Lubitel, one box camera.

The Lubitel is a genuinely good camera, in my experience. The ergonomics of using it aren't great but when the lens is stopped down a few stops and used on a tripod you can get pretty impressive prints.

Hi Pete and Matt,

I'm back from a long vacation and found your prints in the post.

They are all beautiful.

Thanks for exchaning photos with me!

Bastiaan

Thank You

I would like to thank the North American group for their wonderful prints, very good quality and matting too.
I however, am a little disappointed with myself as this was my first experience at something like this and feel I should have done more immediately after looking at the works I received.
I hope those whom I exchanged prints with are not too disappointed. I shall endeavour to use this inital experience as a learning moment - and thank you very much.
