Where is the Council? Isn't THIS kind of "defense" more important than protecting us from ourselves?

Does it not even matter to you at all that you have come on a site devoted to film photography and just taken advantage of our open membership system to post your "defense"?

Why are you even here?

The question was asked about chase tours. I simply responded.
I don't see much in this thread that has to do with photography. The thread was about storm chasing tours, I feel that I am offering positive feedback to the issues that were raised. I am just trying to shed light on the issued from an informed source. (someone who knows about the subject)

If you don't want my input, I will go away.

I DO take pictures and have licensed many for publication, so I am not completely out of place.

So, as long as someone who does the tours DOESN'T show up to defend the practice, its all OK? EH?

Seems like the guy meets the standards for becoming a member; didn't see any any of those who are complaining on the review committee for membership; somehow I think that's up to Sean.

Don't worry about it schaser; I don't think their arguments hold water.

I grew up in tornado alley and I am not offended by the practice, so its all a matter of opinion.

So, how about we turn this thread back to photography of storms? It has clearly been noted you are offended by the topic, so have the common courtesy to not repeatedly drag it off topic.

We ARE here to discuss photography, are we not?

Personally, I like the way Fuji film tends to render the green of an advancing wall cloud over, say Kodak Ektachrome.

Have a WONDERFUL day gents.

It wasn't a thread about photography from the get go. You should take another look at the the OP.

The question directly asked about tour companies.

From the first posting on the thread:

"I was doing some research recently regarding tours offered for chasing/photographing tornados in the midwest U.S.

My apologies for bringing back this thread, but I have an update to the original post. I won't be needing to go on the tornado chasing tour because my dream of capturing an image of a tornado finaly came true today!

I live in Cape Coral, Florida and for the past two days we have been hit by tornados. As I was driving to my sister's house I spotted two funnel clouds! Not just one, but two at the same time!

And, true to my word, I only took images of the funnel clouds not any sort of human tragedy. In this particular case there were no injuries and the clouds were about 4 miles away. I tried getting closer but the best view was from araeas with no structures in front of me.

Now what is next on your list of things to do?

Steve

I think it was cordless bungie jumping. :D :D :D

My personal favorite. Invite me along so I can observe and photograph the whole thing from start to finish [from the ground]!

The next thing on my "to do" list was to get my images posted on the front page of the paper. Hey, wait a minute, what's this I see? My images did make the front page!

Shucks! I would have used my stash of 135 UC 400 and 120 UC 400 for the cordless bungie jumping!
