Tools you use for image background removal?

I am software developer and building an tool to remove background images. What tools are you using right now and what is considered a best? Looking to see if there is any interest here for using APIs for background removal tool.

Just doing the obvious. Who wants to spend hours behind the computer for an avoidable screw up. I guess the youngsters need to do some learnin'.

The first wedding I photographed when I was in high school and I had already figured out to ALWAYS look at the background before firing the shutter.

Some weddings have backgrounds that cannot be avoided at time of exposure, and need to be dealt with!
I am speaking both literally, and figuratively!

In fact, sometimes the background is more interesting than the principle subject.
I thought the thread was concerned with a different problem. I agree with Serious, always keep the background in mind. After all, it is part of the picture.

When I shot weddings, Photoshop did not even exist.

At a wedding the photography does not get to say which ducks will be shot, but the photographer lines up the ducks and chooses the wall. You screwed up! It is your job to pick the background. I don't need no stinkin' FauxTow$hop!

I am assuming the OP is about working with digital images and removing the background, either to make a composite image with another background or just to clean up a seamless background. I use Topaz ReMask5 for that, but it is something I haven't done in many years.

Personally, probably not--I like to be in control. On the other hand, if the service is secure and good, the work good (like with fine details like hair or wires) and could handle large files, it might be appealing to someone who has a large quantity of photos needing work. Kind of like handing the work to an assistant. Would the end-user be able to fine-tune the masking?

I would be interested if I could upload myself, remove 60 years and 50 pounds, then download on the new configuration. Yes I would pay 50 cents or a dollar for that.

There are 3D printers now so one does not have to limit oneself.
