Dear Ole,

Nor would I. But then, I'd never have to. I joined the Liberal Party at 16...

Of course, the Liberal girls were an incentive. But in the subsequent 40 years, I've seen no reason to join any other party (and very few to renew my subscription to the Liberals, especially since I got married).

Hmmmmm,
The 8x10's first, then the Hasselblads, next would be the 4x5's then I guess the 6x7 Pentaxes followed by the 5x7's. Last would be my H3 Hp's.

It may be that the future holds just such a "yard Sale" to take place here in Canon City in the very near future.

George, The other night I considered posting the question "If you had to sell all but one of your cameras, which one would you keep?". I didn't because I was afraid of being responsible for causing severe mental and emotional distress among the membership as they weighed the options. It would be sort of like asking "If you found yourself in an insurmountable financial dilema, which of your children would you sell to the Gypsies?"

Your question is much better. For me it would be the Nikonos. Sad, but I can't really justify it by the amount of use that it gets.

Poor Aunt Sally, she was such a nice person. Life will be tough without her little toe! Then again, I would probably get rid of one my D70s's, after all I do have a heart.

Currently selling off my Toyoview 45CX and lenses. But, the whole thought is that replacement camera becomes an 8x10... This is something that I have been doing on eBay for several years to "shape" the quality of equipment for the field and the darkroom. So ultimately the count does not decrease, just the description of the inventory...

This is a terrible thing to say since Great Aunt Sally told me the toe was mangled during an intensely physical affaire d'amor with YOU!

Something about attempting Position 133 of that "Pleasure Manual" you brought over one night but that somehow the "toe noose" wasn't tied correctly before you pulled....

Except, of course to say, that when the instructions call for "twine" to be affixed to the toe in the prescribed manner - it is not acceptable to use 20-pound test fishing monoline instead!

And is she one of the 'liberal girls' of whom Roger speaks? I'm afraid that by the time I encountered 'liberal girls' the prevailing ideology was that any encounter with men was a form of subjugation. Crazy people.

As for the subject at hand, I would probably sell off some spare bits of gear now if they would bring in enough money to be worth the trouble - Nikon EM and FM10 (I strangely ended up with two of the latter), an underwater flash that is too big to travel with, the 4x5 back for my Horseman 980, and my triotar lensed 'cord. Really should sell the Lomo, as I got it for $8 and they go for ridiculous prices on ebay. I'm periodically tempted to sell the entire Horseman 980 kit in favor of a 4x5 field camera and some modern lenses, which I suspect I would use more. But then I would probably decide I really did need a 6x7 or 6x9 rangefinder and end up spending more than I made.

I'm in the process of clearing out a lot of gear. I've already given my baby brother an SLR and lens and will post him some more if he shows interest.

Most of my m42 screwmount stuff is going, and my fixed lens compact rangefinders -- I rarely use them. My Lubitel TLR is going as is an old Zeiss Ikon box camera.

When the cull is over, I'll have a couple of soviet rangefinder bodies plus lenses, K-mount Pentax and EOS SLR bodies with a few lenses for each, a TLR and a nice Fuji GS645S. And my Olympus Mju II -- which is mostly being used these days where I would have used a compact rangefinder.

At some point I'd like to pick up a nicer LTM or M-mount rangefinder body, and that's about it.

Let me see for Granny, I might be able to spare the Kodak Instamatic 126....my first camera, but after all, this is for Granny.....just re-read the original post and this is for Great Aunt Sally.....screw Aunt Sally, I'm keeping my trusty Insamatic....
