Toneing of Ilford RC papers.

Question to the gurus out there and Simon who could find the definitive answer.
Have found that Ilfords RC paper in Satin finish tones far easier than the Gloss or Pearl finish, especialy in Selenium, am curious to know why this is. It is a charictoristic of the paper along with the finish that I like very much.

Paul. I am surprised that you've got no answers so far. This is unusual but my experience is that if a thread gets no response within a day then it can simply be forgotten.

Sorry I can't help except to say that I too am puzzled why Satin finish seems to be less popular. Some stockists don't even carry it and it seldom seems to figure in any special offers unlike Gloss or Pearl.

Hopefully my reply will bring the thread to others' attention and solicit some replies. Maybe it just you and me who use Satin? Nah - unlikely.

Can anyone help here? I'd be interested in answers too
