Yea, I currently have 2 Minolta's.. a SRT200 and an XG-1... I really don't like the XG-1... And I''ve not tried the SRT200 out because I need a battery for the light meter. They both have a 45mm lense. Does anyone on here use a SRT200? or they crap? Or REALLY good with the right lense? My current [working] camera is a Kalimar K-90 with 80-200 lense and basic 55mm lense. I'd just like to know if i were to sell them, would could I fetch for them? I am probably going to sell the XG-1 and keep the SRT200 and Kalimar.. or sell the SRT200, bla bla. Depends on what people think about the SRT200 and XG-1... Any advice is needed

I have shot both, early in my career, get rid of the XG-1, it was a consumer camera, and don't hold up well to hard shooting, the SRT is a tank and will keep going as long as you can push the shutter button, the SRT series is a great group of cameras and I keep a couple of them around, just in case...but the XG series, just didn't thrill me at all!

My all time fav was the XD-11, but the SRT's run a very close second.

The XG-1 is electric Shutter for one thing.. I know the SRT200 is a tank, it's taken a few falls and still works like new.. I just having trouble finding lense for it.... Can anyone give me examples of a SRT200 with 45mm lense? (pictures taken with them i mean)

Likely not a large amount these days. If you know it works well and are very descriptive in your auction listing you might get a small amount for it. I sold a large kit of XG-1 gear recently: two bodies, three lenses, extension tubes, reversing ring, tripod, filters, case, etc.. for a pitance really. Your best bet might be to search closed auctions on ebay to get a feel for what they have been going for recently...

My cameras are an sr-T101 and an XG-M and I wouldn't trade them for anything. Over the years I have picked and chosen my lenses. But it is a personal preference. Someone else might pick them and up and say, 'CRAP'. So, it's up to you.
