TMY-2 (new TMAX 400) really is an incredible film

2+2+100 9 minutes @ 70º F. I use this as my normal for 35mm and 120. Small tank, standard agitation. I've worked out N- and N+ but rarely use them.

I've shot Tmax 100 in 120. Develop in Xtol normal. Why would I switch to 400 or should I stick with 100?

I did shoot with TAMX 100 and 400 and developed both for different many shots, for no reason or don't know why, i go with TMY-2 or TMAX400 shots all the time over TMAX100, both are great but slightly i give TMAX400 an edge, could be that it is faster or better developed or it is designed differently i couldn't tell, but this is maybe only me and i don't care what the world say, for 100 ASA or ISO my fav and vote is from Acros 100, and for 400 it goes for TMAX400, end of story.

TMY400 is one of the most versatile films I've discovered for 8x10 use, and the quality control of the product is superb. Sometimes I shoot it in 4x5 too, and I even like it in 35mm (for small prints, of course), though it needs to be metered more carefully than some films, especially
regarding shadow values. I develop all these sizes in PMK pyro. TMX100 lacks the edge acutance I desire, though I use it extensively in the
lab for masking and color separation work. Iv'e also done portraiture with it, where sharp edges are not necessarily desirable.
