Does anyone have photos from TMX100 negatives developed in Photographer's Formulary FX-1 developer that they can post? Any format but really interested in 4x5 examples.

I don't have any TMX100 negatives developed in FX-1 (I might have my data and curves somewhere, though), as I purged them all before I left Japan. All I remember from those tests was that I was not overly impressed, and that I prefered TMX in Xtol 1+1. Fast forward 25 years, and I find myself wishing I had kept the negatives so that I could re-examine them with a more informed mind...

Thanks Andrew, I would love to see your data if you ever come across it.

I'm also curious about TMX in FX-2.

I also used TMX in FX-2 😄

Why bummer? 🤔
Anyways, I had a look and could not locate my FX-1 data...Chucked, just as suspected...but I did find some for FX-2. One is for continuous agitation in BTZS tubes, the other for stand...

No 4x5 and no T-Max but I did use FX-1 quite a bit back 15 years or so ago. It is a sharp developer and has almost an etching quality to it.

I stopped using it because I moved on to Beutler's which is basically the same with half the sulfite and without the super minute amount of Iodide. I suppose the Iodide might have a slight affect on the micro contrast but I never compared them directly.
