TMax in Ilfosol S or Rodinal?

I've shot up (gee, that almost sounds criminal) some TMax 3200, but don't have any TMax developer. Can I use Ilfosol S or Rodinal on it and what combinations seem to work best?

It was rated at 3200 and shot, mostly, in low and/or back lit conditions.

I know you can't do Tmax 400 in Ilfosol. I'm assuming 3200 is the same. I had to go out and buy some Ilfotec to process the roll I shot.

I've never used Kodak 3200, but I would be wary of using Rodinal on it. I have been lead to believe Rodinal is a "slow film" developer and produces pronounced grain while remaining sharp. 3200 film already has enough grain I think. Given the 2 choices, I would go with the Ilford. But thats me...

I thouight so about the rodinal. I wasn't sure about the Ilfosol.

I guess its off to the camera shop...

you're between a rock and a hard place.
Ilfosol S may work, but you'll get grain and not enough speed
Rodinal, may give it a shot for a long dev time, lotsa grain!!
According to digitaltruth, the old TMZ could be developed in Rodinal 1+25 for 10.5 minutes (3200)

I think Ilfotec DDX would be your best choice of developer, if you can't find any d76/ID11 should do it as well.

I don't know how Ilfosol will work. But Rodinal would give you LOTS of (imho nice) grain.

But I use HC-110 with this film when I am out of T-Max Developer

Is it grain you want, or just the 3200 speed?

I dragged my butt down to the local photo chargewaytoomuchforchemicals shop and bought a bottle to TMax...

I just hung the negs...first indications are that they turned out well.

I used the 3200 for the speed... I was photographing a Girl Scout fashion show (my daughter's), where the light was going to be moderately low with some interesting backlighting (holiday twinkle lights), so I really didn't want to dump a whole lotta light on the shots.

We'll see how they turn out.
