I only hope that Kodak claim officially a position about TMX on 120 and his development.

I only hope that Kodak claim officially a position about TMX on 120 and his development.

Thats just the problem - so if they would
have stated : " Sorry folks our last backing of Tmx is from 2008 and we noticed much less demand. So we calculated the big ammound of last production run should last to much more
than one decade. But now we noticed we're getting of - sorry what can we do
to you folks?"

If Kodak will tell us in a faire way what's
happen there would be a chance to speak about.
Now we can only regard to price increases all the time until the statement:
"Discontinued due to less demand":mad::mad:!

Here with Tmx it is a paradigma - change
because Kodak stated quite clear :
NO DISCONTINUE OF KODAK TMX 120 !

So hurry up friends.......

with regards

PS : Last chance to tell the truth to Kodak would be now : Yes as we stated
No discontinue of Tmax 120 - but discontinue of Tmax in all formats.:cry::cry:......what a horror - but I don't think so
because Kodak in China should solve the "backing paper problem":D:cool:......
So folks it is time to the next price spiral....

As late as earlier this year, Kodak was running film production runs (of various types) at least weekly, and more frequently daily.
If they were able to produce it without problems, it would be available.

Do they have this runs still in the US with
complete new machines.
In much smaler size?

If they use their common factory production street witch is designed to
produce the equivalent of 250.000
135emulsions/day I see a problem with
the price calculation and the reaction
of the marked due to sales quantities.

Better to say :Sorry here is no backing
paper at this time.

with regards

Vitriol of this magnitude is often reserved for things we love.

Please keep your 1$ philosophy to yourself.

In my case I got tired to be treated like shit.
How many rolls did I ruin because of their lazyass wrong development times?
How many lost shots because of bad backing paper ACROSS ALL their 120 film lines? There's no way I'm touching their 120 films until 2025. They still are selling defective 120 film instead of taking it off the market. This has a name: it's called ripping people off.
Changing Tri-X to something different and getting away with it because of the legacy?
Changing 400TX to TX400 (or whatever it was)? How LAME is that?

Discontinuing products NOT because of low demand BUT because of extremely BAD MANAGEMENT.

Man, the list is too long. Kodak is the worst managed american company that has ever existed. There are University MBA cases studying its history and how not to repeat the same stupid mistakes they made. Kodak has gone lower than ZERO.

Sure, their films are good. And sure, it's a shit company.

I got tired to put up with their bullshit. I am the customer! And they do not care. They avsolutely do not care about their customers.

Kodak film still rocks, TMY-2 is frankly, epic, and many of us await -with baited breath- the very instant of TMX's return in 120. I'm still loving/shooting it in 4x5.

Vitriol of this magnitude is often reserved for things we love.

I agree. TMY-2 is epic...but I can no longer afford it in 8x10.

We can only hope that they are still improving the emulsion too. Maybe a brand new tmx? Or tmx2 like tmy2?

You may say that I'm a dreamer....

I can't believe the kodak BS.

What a shit company, really.

Oh, you want the film given to you too? Unless you can make better products, stop complaining. Kodak is the best we have.

For a change read the instructions instead of reading postings on the internet.

Last time I checked, we are all equal here, I have as much right to my 'philosophy' as you.

Sure, but don't apply it to me.

Maybe not you, but I consider Kodak to have badly mistreated me over time. Badly.

I see you are attempting to be smart with me. Yawn.

The thing is, if I followed kodak's instructions as you are recommending me to do, I'd endlessly be ruining my developments.

I will not agree Sirius Glass - I see it a little different :

KODAK IS OBVIOUSLY THE LAST MAN STANDING IN THIS TERRIBLE EPIC WAR.

...........look at Fuji they are producing cosmetics now.The best comment I found
to this is comming from Fuji's management : Because cosmetics have also to do with colors and Fuji is very
familiar to this.

That's funny. They're "lazyass wrong development times" do work for some.

How can they be the last man standing, when there is Ilford? I would say Kodak/Alaris is standing on wobbly knees.

great that they finally got the issue fixed, but a shame the price made a huge jump. happy to have a lot still in the freezer from when B&H had it on sale for $20 a pro pack 2 years ago. time to move to acros at $6 cheaper.

this makes me worry about were all kodak film prices and then film prices in general are heading soon.

Even Ilford Delta 100 is cheaper than Kodak film. Higher quality and lower price. That's a hard combo to beat.
