Tips on using a 28 mm?

28 + 50mm lenses is what I carry 90% of the time. Unless I want to frame a detail, I keep the 28mm mounted on my SLR.

And like Darkosaric said, use for a while your 28mm and the 50mm will become your favorite tele-lens!

This is exactly what I did for my Mummers series: 28mm lens, f/8-11, focus preset at 4ft. Doing so, you pay more attention to what you frame, not the gear anymore.
