On the topic of colour casts w/ Ektar, I read on other forums that when over-exposed, the film has a tendency to have casts. Not that I noticed it myself, because I've always used incident metering with this film, which is the surest way to avoid overexposed highlights, as one does with slide film.
In that circumstance, I'd say it's a new $150 Photoshop plug-in called ShortWind that makes digital look just like real film. Or I'd just claim that the camera wasn't advancing the CMOS chip far enough between exposures, and needed adjustment.
