Brief public service rant:

There is a special place in hell for anyone who uses threadlock on camera covers and other low stress assemblies. Seriously, may you severely itch in intimate places for the next three decades.

Over and out. Back to the blow torch and acetone games.

I've heard the same about people who paint brick
Living in a somewhat depressed area on the edge of New England, I am amazed at how common this is. Makes me long for the days of people painting their cars with house paint and a roller. At least it looks better.

Severe itching for 3 decades! Is that what has happened to you? You have my sympathies but I am surprised you waited this long to tell us. Perhaps you wanted to be sure it wasn't a very temporary affair of say only 10 years? 😎

Wasn't me. I just break screws in half and put things back together without them.

About where I was headed. Had to grind out one head and then drilled out the stud. Fortunately the original threads are still there and will hold on reassembly.

Well, the threadlock was on par with some of the other things inside.
