Anyone ever use a Thornton Reflex Camera with 3.25x4.25 plates?
Are they worth the bother? Any possible problems (aside from age and wear and tear)?
Have a stack of 3.25x4.25 plates I want to try out, and also coat.
Thanks in advance,
Anton

Dear Anton,

Yes, but not since about 1972. As long as the shutter operates smoothly (like all big FP shutters, they can get juddery as well as slow) TPs are among the finest quarter-plate SLRs ever made.

Cheers,

Roger
