Oh, I see, it's the MONROE fair. (Wondering why I haven't yet been exhorted to 'Do the Puyallup') Already have plans for this weekend, have to make it Mon or Tue, depending on the weather.

Well, this week I shot with two cameras - my Kodak Retina IIa with the 50 f2 lens and my Canham 5x12. Put one roll through the Retina, and 24 sheets through the 5x12. Which is a lot considering that I only have three holders for the 5x12 and they don't work well in my changing tent (I'm going to have to bite the bullet and get a Harrison Jumbo).

Had my New F-1 out yesterday, discovered it has 'focusing issues'. Back to the shop with that one, guess I ought to stick with what apparently works.

Tomorrow a friend from work is playing with his band at Dimbola Lodge on the Isle of Wight. This was the home of Victorian photographer Julia Magaret Cameron and is now a photographic museum and gallery.

The gig is to mark the 40th anniversary of the 1970 Isle of Wight music festival at nearby Afton Down.

My friend has asked me to take some pictures of the band so in the spirit of the 1970s I have decided to take my two Spotmatics with a 135mm lens on one and a 50mm lens on the other.

I've been shooting some Ilford XP2 Super today in one of my Canon T90s which it's hard to think of as an antique its such a modern advanced camera in every way, it's difficult to realize it's about twenty four years since they were made, and they were only made for about a year.

I have a Canon SureShot AF35ML (circa 1981) loaded with a roll of XP2 Super that I'm going to take out for a stroll in a couple of days when the weather clears. With my recent run of luck I won't discover the camera doesn't work until I've shot the whole roll and tried to remove it the next day.

I've noticed how most people like to shoot multiple cameras while I'm still trying to kill the remaining 42 frames in my Olympus Pen EE loaded with PXP 135/36. It's a working progress.

Going east of the mountains tomorrow to the Lake Chelan area of Washington for some U-pick peaches (and other fruits & veggies). Will be taking the F2AS that I just picked up today, loaded with Ektar 100, and the R4. Probably a 28-105 AF-D on the F2AS, and definitely the 50/2 Summicron on the R4 - only lens I have for that body.

Dad,Spike, had to stay home & work.... we'll see what I can get... rather work with 6x6 stuff, but she's too fast for that!

Agfa Karat 36, 50mm f/2 Rodenstock lens. What a little honey! Always wanted a Kodak Retina, never found one in good working condition at a reasonable price. This one fills the bill to perfection.

My 1890's Quarter plate camera for the first time :D

Just put the finishing touches to the roll film back conversion, an adaptor that holds a Graflex RH/10 (a bargain courtesy WadeD) and just slips in like a plate holder.

So of to the sea-shore with some Pan F tomorrow, TP shutter on the front of the lens . . . . . . . . . .

Nothing analog-wise. Sorry guys, I'm going to be shooting with Mr Digital Fuji for a week or three at least. I ran out of new film and the 12 rolls of old film I had in the fridge that I was saving turned out to be petty useless. (Darn!) Guess it wasn't stored well after all no matter what the guy who gave it to me said, shrug. Since I just spent my entire monthly grocery budget on the new Yashica and those fine lenses, cough, it will be a while before I can go grab anymore Fuji or Kodak at the drugstore. Maybe by the time the Yashica shows up I'll be able to grab a couple of generic rolls to check it out with. We'll see.

Yeah, I missed my chance. The sun came out when I wasn't looking, and I was still in my pajamas. :whistling:

Anyway, solved that problem. Took a daytrip with the family to Chelan. Did some shooting (both off-topic and with my F2AS - did have the R4 with me, but it decided to be a bit tempermental electrically). Also visited an orchard over there. The Sunshine Farm (Dead Link Removed). Well worth the drive on a day when the western side of the state is "wet"ern. Temps with in the mid-upper 70s the whole day with sun and a fairly stiff breeze, which made it very comfortable, albeit a bit challenging to keep the vehicle going straight down the road.
