I'm happy to announce that I won over GAS, at least for this time !!
I've been dreaming of a third large format lens, that should be about 300mm in focal, light enough to keep my Tachihara happy, cover 8x10 (just in case I'm tempted in the coming years
) and not too expensive.
Of course, when I finally managed to get the money for this, one showed up at a shop for a price that seems fair. But in the same time a Leica M3 also apperaed on my radar, offered with a lens (OK, a Jupiter 3) for almost the same price.
I've had some hard days but I made up my mind today and immediately ran to the shop to get the Fuji 300/8,5 C !!!
So I consider I won over GAS, since this was a planned acquisition, which complements my 4x5 kit.
The lens looks like a gem, I'd rate it EX+++ (the only missing thing is the box, no scratches or cleaning marks !).
