I'm going to be in Montreal next week (Aug. 25-30) for a little vacation and a medical appointment.
So, I'm looking for input on galleries/shows I should see while I'm there, both photographic and artistic generally. Also, I'll probably be taking a 35mm camera or 2 along, so I'm open to suggestions on interesting things to photograph (the Lachine Canal looks interesting, but not sure how much can actually be photographed these days).
I'm staying in a bed & breakfast near a subway station, so getting around should be OK (that said, I've never been on Montreal's subway, but I lived in Toronto for a while, and took the subway often).
I enjoy wandering around cities I don't know, and my French is minimal at best, so this is going to be fun
Given the current political situation, I'll probably be avoiding Montreal North, but otherwise I'm open to exploring.
Thanks!
