We probably all agree on the archival issues and we've covered it extensively here on lots of threads.

I even brought up the loss of letters, love letters etc a while back, due to the proliferation of everything done on computers.

The fact remains though that the film is dead yay/nay stuff is only in the mind of a few people. Everyone else just goes on with their life.

As a hobbiest and a few pros, film will still have it's niche market and probably for a long time.

For the majority of people, it's long gone.

............For the majority of people, it's long gone.

For the majority of the people, it never arrived to begin with.

What percentage of today's populace has never targeted by film manufacturers? Since Sony rolled out the Mavica in '81, how many of today's kids & young adults have even considered using film?

Announcement: The LP officially died in the early nineties. As I write this there are dozens of turntable manufacturers still making turntables. Why?

Perhaps, 'dead' is either illusory, or subjective, at best. Many still worship the dead with no apologies. We are them. - David Lyga
