Jim, I just played with that efke direct positive paper, you might have a look. It is quite thin, what I tried. Not too curly, and reasonably smooth surface. I guess waht I got could be called semimatte. Develops well in standard chems but definitely needs a red safelight. Haven't checked preflashing effect and toning and all that, but it might be a good direct capture paper for you ULFers. Controlling the contrats is still a bit of a mystery to me so far, one plays with exposure versus developing, of course.

Keith I had read about that paper and it is something to try in the future. Funds are a real challenge right now as some work I was counting on got put off till next month and has left me with a serious cash flow problem. Let me know your results please. By the way the camera came in at 16 lbs.
