Sure she's sharp. I mean good looking, as well as plenty sharp picture-wise. And if I was to run the picture through Photoshop, you think it was made by a Leica.

And come on now. You really can't compare a 50mm lens to a 40mm lens, two totally different optical formulas being used.

Remember that the Canonet is a mass-market, point-n-shoot camera from the 1970's. Considering that, it's image quality borders on spectacular. Plus it's small enough to fit in my pocket, so I carry it with me. Can't say that about my Nikon F, or your Pentax A.

That woman is sharp but not extremely so. Wide open you did get a decent image but try using a Pentax A at 1.7 and see the difference with both acutance and contrast. - David Lyga

Looks like quite low light levels here, probably not the best for "pop" or micro-contrast.
