Just wondering, what the current state of the Charles Beseler Photo Company is.

Alive and well AFAIK. I've exchanged emails in the not-too-distant past with their customer support team and have received quick responses.

They currently sell -- and have sold -- lots of gear other than enlargers.

been waiting days to get a single reply from their repair technicians concerning a used enlarger i recieved damaged.. initial day a flurry of emails showing concern,, since then.. Its like getting blood from a door knob

A different experience than mine. When I was having an issue with my 23CII XL I emailed their support contact, got a very quick response and they set up a phone call with one of their technical support guys for either the same or next day (can't recall which). They called as promised and helped me resolve my issue.

Have you tried calling their 1-800 number?

I happen to know that redbandit has a Beseler 67C enlarger that came to him with the elevation lock handle removed. Can anyone here help him with some advice on how to re-attach it, including the size of any allen wrench/hex key required?

You'll probably have better luck in the REPAIR sub-Forum.

I spent a bit of time digging over the enlarger... its more then the handle being removed.

the head was essentially locked at near max height.. handle removed, packaged in the most half assed way possible.... and then the head was bent to one side during shipment, or even before shipment for all i know

The maximum height position is where it should be locked for shipping - that is where the spring is at its lowest tension.
